Brand New Game by Ralf: Necrospermia

posted by nix./site

Now here's a game from the same series as Zbylut Owrzodzien. Neither its' storyline nor its' graphics are ever approved by ERSB, so I'll just give you a download link, as well as Ralf's thread on this game on WoS, if you're curious enough.

Although isn't that already obvious from the game's title?..

SL: The Offtopic Comments Cleanup (снова наезды)

posted by nix./site

Brand New Game By Yerzmyey: Zbylut Owrzodzien

posted by nix./site

It's pretty uncommon to see a game by Yerz, but this is the moment when he has actually released one, with the big help of Hellboj and Mister Beep! Like many other works from Yerzmyey, this one is so insane and crazy that it's not even worth describing... Just to not spoil the surprise!

The game perfectly works on 48K machines. Not only that, it spots some state-of-the-art AY music during the gameplay process.

So get it here.

TR-DOS Re-Cracks

posted by nix./site

It's been quite a while since this page has been floating around the Internet, but I thought it might be quite useful for everyone who uses DivIDE to games and programs, old and new.

Did you got stuck? You can't beat that one freaking boss? Sure thing, POKEs may help, but this nifty collection of trd-to-tap crack conversions will ease your job in case if you won't have Internet access or old Speccy magazines nearby. Not to mention the stylish cracktros and the fact that some of the games are either put together or "remixed" (a.k.a. modded or hacked to include new graphics and music, like Barbarian 128K from Bitmunchers).

Each crack can be downloaded whenever you press a "tap" or "z80" icon to the right of the game's title. Most of the cracks can be also previewed as soon as you click on the game's title itself. The on-site emulator will load the required blocks automatically then.

Knightmare 128K for TR-DOS

posted by nix./site

While not quite fresh news, SG Team has disked a relatively new port of Knightmare (which, to remind you, originally was on MSX1) for the TR-DOS, complete with the traditional infinite lives mode. If you're interested, you can download it here.

An All-New Frontend For Autosiril

posted by nix./site

Got tired of using the command line all the time whenever you converted songs from Autosiril? Well, this little proggy gets bigger and bigger following there on WoS Forums, so it's no wonder that Karl McNeil decided to fix this inconvinience.

So there you can re-download the usual Autosiril pack, with an all-new GUI wrapper/frontend program by McNeil.

Meanwhile, though, you can download the alpha of it here.

The project's official page is here.

Spectrumpedia by Alessandro Grussu

posted by nix./site

CoverThis book written by Alessandro Grussu is available in both paperback and PDF formats. While the first can be bought for 36 euros from one of four available bookshops, the latter can be downloaded for free from the WoS Infoseek Database.

You can also use the 1:1 mirror on Speccy Live.

Its' only drawback so far is that it's available in Italian only, and that the English translation is currently on hold, but it still might be a great read for everyone who loves Speccy wholeheartedly.
